We are split between 2 hometowns: Charlottesville and Richmond. Tomorrow night we play in Charlottesville. And it will probably be the last time we play there until the end of the year because of big life stuff coming up for a few of us.
(We will have one more Richmond show in March and that will be it for awhile.)
If you're near Charlottesville this weekend, come out to Balkan Bistro tomorrow night. Let's do this thing right!

Stellar review of Banshees from PopMatters.
"Hardly the discordant force of its namesake, Banshees is more of a siren that will have you happily crashing on its rocky shores."

Baltimore treated us right. Many thanks to War On Women, Let It Go, Rachel (Feed The Scene), and Jesse (Charm City Art Space).
Philly was a total blast too. Thanks to Pulling Punches, Good Graces, and Rosetta. We'll be playing with Rosetta in Richmond in March, so keep a look out. Roanoke tonight!

Last night was a blast! Please check out Brief Lives, Sea of Storms, and Hoax Hunters - some of the best stuff going on in Richmond music right now.
Tonight we play at Charm City Art Space in Baltimore with War On Women who recently learned that they're touring Europe this Spring with Propagandhi! Stoked for them! Let It Go will shred for your pleasure as well.

Banshees is on another "Best of 2012" list, this time on the German music blog "Borderline Fuckup." Google translation:
It's simple: "Banshees" shows Worn in Red compact and reduced to the essentials. In the long run, it is not as atmospheric and long-lasting as the previous "In the Offing". They benefit from the new direction in that there is not a second wasted. "Banshee" is 30 minutes of driving, sweat-inducing, emotional post-hardcore as you'd like to hear it more often.

Happy 2013! For those of you who haven't heard, Brad and his wife Tara are having a baby in May! Congrats to them!
For us, 2013 will involve lots of song writing together, but fewer shows as Brad figures out that whole fatherhood thing. We are playing 5 shows in January though, so come and get it while the gettin's good.
Check the "Notes" section for details: https://www.facebook.com/notes/worn-in-red/2013-winter-mini-tour-richmond-baltimore-philly-roanoke-charlottesville/10150913733987337;

Before he started FEST, Tony Weinbender was in a rad Virginia band called Swank. Tonight - and just tonight - they play for the first time in over a decade. Consider us old Virginia punks STOKED.
Check them out if you like Beastie Boys, Sleepytime Trio, 70s porn soundtracks, Avail, dub reggae, and 90s pop-punk all wrapped up into one weird, brilliant little band.

Over the past year, our drummer Brad has been working closely with a great organization called Hollaback. It's a mobile technology platform that addresses sexual harassment on on our streets by mapping and sharing incidents. And it is completely badass. If you do end-of-year donations to worthy causes, please consider this one. Thanks!

This fella was nice enough to include us in his favorite records of 2012. Which obligates us to ask: What were your favorites?

We don't know these guys, but a conceptual hardcore band about plot lines in the TV show "Roseanne" is worth sharing.
