So thrilled to have this video of the full set from my show w/ Treading Bleu at OLD DOG TAVERN earlier this summer. Includes a never-before-captured cover, a few new songs, and lame jokes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJIIrY5xCM4&feature=youtu.be;

Hi everyone,
Well, it certainly has been a hot minute, hasn’t it? I’m sorry about my absence, but in a way, it might make it an easier pill for me to swallow when it comes to what this little note is all about.
Music has been an enormous part of my life since as long as I can remember, and when I picked up a guitar at 14, it became even bigger. When I started writing my own songs, it kept growing, when I played those songs for people, it became colossal, and when I got to record my own music and people listened, I was constantly overwhelmed by the feedback and kindness of people.
Over the past 6 years of playing live shows, I’ve had incredible experiences. I’ve traveled, I’ve eaten one too many pre-show Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki sandwiches from Subway, and I’ve played and sang a lot of music. The most important thing to me, though, has been the people. I’ve made some incredible friends, had the opportunity to work with so many talented individuals, and talked to people at this show and that show that I probably will never see again. There was never a ‘low’ moment for me, because I was in love with what I was doing.
I can’t say I’m not still in love, because I am. Head over heels, in fact. But, after some long deliberation and arguing with myself, I’ve decided to call it quits for now. And trust me, I just stared at that sentence for a good 20 minutes contemplating on whether or not I should delete it. No. This is the right thing, and the fair thing for me to do. If I can’t give music 100% of myself all the time, it’s not fair for me to continue doing it. Not fair to myself, and definitely not fair to you guys.
I can’t even begin to say ‘thank you’ enough to everyone who’s supported me over the years, and everyone who has given me a helping hand. I’ve learned so much, and have had so many experiences I will never, ever forget. To say I’ve been lucky is an understatement, and it’s because of you.
Later this week I’ll be releasing a ‘mix’ of sorts, with some of my favorite songs I’ve done, including some new ones. I’ll have it available for a free download, and it’d be great if you wanted to take a listen. Along with that, I’ll be playing my last show on Saturday, September 15th, at Sawyer Bash in Sawyer, MI. I’m thrilled to be playing in a space that’s about 10 minutes from my house. It feels like everything is kind of coming full-circle, and I like that.
Thanks, you guys. I love you.

No one's ever called me a 'local favorite' before. I feel like Redamaks' crinkle-cut fries (that was a 'local' joke). http://www.harborcountry.org/index.php?catid=11&month=6&year=2012&eventid=711
But for real, this Saturday - 6:30pm in Dewey Cannon Park. See you there, Three Oaks!
